Since Lucas has been about a year old he has been using his negotiating skills on Lilly. He finds a toy he thinks she likes, gets her interested in it, and gives it to her. He then finds himself free to enjoy the toy that was previously occupying her attention without a fight.
Well, today he decided to use his talents, not on her, but in defense of her. You see, Lilly REALLY hates to have her hair done and wont let anybody touch it without a fight. This morning when Lucas heard an ensuing battle between Lilly and the comb in her dad���s hand, he decided to come to Lilly���s rescue. In his hand he held out a headband trying to get Reed to take a hold of it.
���Here dad. Take this. Why don���t you try to put this in her hair.���
Luke then hoped to slip the brush out of Reed���s hands without Reed even noticing. Unfortunately, Reed was a little more determined to conquer Lilly���s mane than Luke has planned. Even though Luke tactics didn���t quite work out, I still think Lilly is pretty lucky to have a brother who is willing to stand up for her.
