Mom is back in the
business of blogging today. I am loving having a 10 month in our
house way too much not to write my own thoughts on it. Maybe we will
let Myra do her own post next month. ;)
She has grown into such
a cute little person, learning and manifesting parts of her
personality every day. We are loving and enjoying her more than ever
before.
I had her pinned as a
cautious one, but I seem to be mistaken on that. She has quite a
confidence in her ability to get around and isn't afraid to max out
her ability level. Yesterday I had to stop her in the middle of
scaling a shelf!
She loves to be with
her people. It was fun to have all of us home for a couple weeks over
the holidays for her to spend more time with her siblings and Reed.
It has debunked me as a clear favorite in her eyes. She spent so much
time with daddy at the beach and loved every second.. It seems we now
have a daddy's girl in the house. Lucas and Lilly have become her
favorite playmates.
She NEVER leaves a room
I am in and pretty much expects me to do the same: She was almost
tempted once to leave me to go explore the wonders of Lucas's messy
room- a baby goldmine/deathtrap ;).
She has become quite
partial to bananas and avocados.
She communicates so
much without ever saying a word. She loves to tell us all where to
take her and things she wants by pointing.
Her love of music is
heartwarming. It gratefully calmed the restlessness right out of her
like a tranquilizer when the whole family sang Christmas songs as we
drove to the beach a few weeks ago.
She loves patty cake
and peek-a-boo and has become an active participant in both. Lucas
and her have a game of pee-a-boo they love to play on the couch where
they take turns hiding from each other. Melts my heart to watch them
both giggle together so much.
Lilly is a second
mother to Myra. All things baby come very naturally to Lilly,
something I am very grateful for. It was quite a blessing to have
Lilly take such good care of her sister when I had to be at the
hospital with Reed for most of a day. My mother-in-law told me the
only time Myra got upset was when Lilly was playing with another baby
in the house.
The joy that my three
little kiddos bring to my home is such a blessing.
