Reed only sought cover in the basement twice:
1. To bring sleeping Lilly down to me
2. And then to convince me I had to come see it.
Don’t tell my mom, but I went up long enough to see it floating behind my neighbor’s house.
Stupid. Yes. But definitely one of the most incredible things I have even seen. Too bad I ran back downstairs almost as fast as I saw it, instead of running to grab the camera, so you all could see what I mean.
The results to my house, not so incredible. It was the crazy huge hail that did this damage. When I first went to get Lucas to go downstairs he told me he didn’t like “the boys throwing rocks at our house.”
I keep telling myself I hated that siding, anyways. And really, we feel very blessed that nobody got seriously injured as the tornado crossed through town. And really the damage was really minimal when I think of what it could have done.

so mom told me about this in her matter-of-fact sort of way and then dad started chiming in with his alarmist tone so i'm glad you posted the evidence for those of us who wanted the facts straight. i'm glad no one was hurt. what will your new siding look like? :)
wow!!! thats crazy! Is your insurance going to pay for it? See you in a couple of weeks!!!
We have a claim in with our insurance right now, so we will see what happens. I mostly just want a different color of siding. I don't love the hint of yellow.
Tornadoes are getting too close to people I love. First my brother and now you! Although yours hit much closer, but their's did hit the apartment they lived in the year previous. Too close for comfort.
I can't believe you went up to see the tornado. I would have been just as curious, but I don't think I would have gone up even for a second. I feel like I should scold you because what if something had happened to you and Reed. But I won't.
I am glad you're all safe and I hope you get new siding.
Yikes! Why am I not surprised about Reed? lol, I'm glad you guys are safe!
