Mind reader

Last night I was washing my face thinking, I better grab the futon and bring it into my room (My sick Lucas had stolen my spot in bed for the night. I always prefer my kids close at hand when they are not feeling well). As I walk out of the bathroom there is Reed laying the futon out on the floor right next his side of the bed. (Less you think my husband is rude for not sleeping on the futon himself, he offered and I refused. We both agree that silly thing is the best bed in the house.)

A few minutes later I am walking up the stairs thinking that I would also need to grab a pillow since Lucas was sleeping on mine. Nope, Reed had already taken care of it. A new pillow was waiting for me to lie on along with my favorite blanket to curl up in.

Then in the morning, I am thinking to myself while I am still laying in bed, “I better go get Lilly up to go to the bathroom.” (She is pretty at staying dry at night, but I hadn’t had her go to the bathroom right before she went to bed the night before. I was afraid of what the results of that would be). I mentioned my concern to Reed who was getting ready for work. He informed me, “Oh I already helped her to the bathroom.”

The list could go on and on.

My thoughts: “Boy I am worn out.”
Reed upon coming home from work, “Why don’t you go take a rest, and I will play with the kids.”
My thoughts: “I really don’t want to change this diaper.”
Reed: “I’ve got this one.”
My thoughts. “I am not very good at this mothering thing.”
Reed: “Our kids are the happy people they are because they have you as a mom.”

I don’t know what his trick is, but I love that he knows the things I need and is selfless enough to do them for me.

hOly crap! good job reed, points to you! That is like the dream husband! Eric is a good helper, but definetly not a mind reader, that is what women want. We just want men to act by reading our minds and we would all be happier! hahahaha.
